Mark and Monica were strangers taking a chance and signing up for an EMT class in Madison County. They had a few sarcastic conversations and left, moving on to different careers. The next 6 months were full of trials and tribulations for both of them, until that December. At what seems like pure chance, Mark had reached out to Monica only to find that she was patching a hole in her wall from where Kerchek got bored and ate the wall. They chatted as friends for a few hours but then their lives got busy once again until a day in February, Monica had remembered him and reached out. They started talking for hours then days until they decided to hang out one on one for the first time. Then they both knew that this was it. They had each found their person and they no longer need to fight the world alone, but they will forever have each other’s back. On November 19th, 2024, Mark got down on one knee in their living room and said, “I can't wait another minute to have forever with you, will you marry me?” She promptly replied “are you kidding me? You're joking?” with an eventual yes once she realized what was happening. Some say the rest is history, but for them, it's the beginning of their greatest adventure.
